To better accommodate students, faculty and staff, Purdue University Calumet uses a shuttle Van to make stops along the Indianapolis Boulevard corridor, as well as other Northwest Indiana locations.

The 7 passenger shuttle, called the Peregrine Shuttle, can be ridden with a Purdue Calumet ID card, at no charge. Various routes to and from campus are scheduled Monday through Saturday, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Depending on the route, stops include: Wal-Mart and Showplace Theatres in Schererville, Meijer and Target stores in Highland, Van Til’s supermarket in Hammond, the South Shore commuter train station in East Chicago and The Mansards apartments in Griffith after 6:00pm.

“We are pleased to introduce this service, not only because it provides a convenience, but also because it’s the right thing to do,” Purdue Calumet Chancellor Howard Cohen said. “As gasoline prices continue to rise, providing transportation alternatives benefits residential students and, for that matter, our entire campus community.”
