Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation
- National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored program designed to encourage undergraduate students to conduct research in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math disciplines
- Students receive stipends to work with a mentor and conduct research in the summer ($1,500) and fall semesters ($1,500). Typically, 15 students work on projects during the summer and 10 during the fall.
- LSAMP students
- Meet to discuss various topics of research
- Present their work at the Purdue University Calumet Student Research Day
- Submit a report to NSF
- Each year several students present their work at the Indiana LSAMP conference
