The Mission of the Student Research Office is to expand research opportunities for PUC students
A Message from the Director:
Welcome to the Purdue University Calumet Student Research Office. Our office strives to work closely with faculty mentors in each academic unit in order to expand research opportunities for student in their respective disciplines. By engaging students in the active learning and discovering process through faculty-mentored research projects, we aim to contribute to retaining and graduating more qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Our main activities are:
- Administer and manage grant/funding programs for student research, with detailed application guidelines on our website;
- Organize and administer recognition events and awards for student research, such as Student Research Award and co-hosting Student Research Day;
- Develop collaboration between research programs and graduate education;
- Collect and analyze data from across campus on student research;
- Promote and market student research to students, faculty, and outside agencies;
- Function as a clearinghouse for student research opportunities at PUC:
- Serve as a liaison between students seeking research opportunities and faculty seeking students to work on research projects.
