Students, faculty, and staff participated in the Second Annual Student Convocation that took place August 28, 2008 in the Founders Plaza at Purdue University Calumet. A brief program featured remarks by Chancellor Howard Cohen and a panel discussion of students and faculty sharing Purdue Calumet experiences.
“Our intent is to provide students a welcoming, festive start to their academic year and, for our freshmen, their college lives, at Purdue Calumet,” Dalgarn said.
Students, faculty and staff enjoyed live music, food booths and informational resource tables. Student attendees who visited the ‘Welcome Tent’ received a computer flash drive.
