Campaign Message: Imagine this, you’re in a large room, and the song “The Final Countdown,” by Europe, begins to play. Then, you see a shadow of someone entering the door. The person, as he quickly approaches you, is taking pictures, giving high fives, playing Rock-Paper-Scissors, and seems to be a very interesting person. This person, you soon realize, is Nathyn Gibson coming into the room to the beat of his self-proclaimed “PUC Prince Campaign Theme Song.” “I always thought I would look good in a crown,” he comments on wanting to become PUC Prince. “I am adorable, like a kitten playing with a ball of yarn. These are just a few reasons why I should be PUC Royalty.”

Campaign Message: Music, movies, photography, spending time with family/friends and just being creative are among the things that Natalie enjoys in her spare time. She is the President of Los Latinas, a student organization at Purdue University Calumet. “I should be PUC Royalty because I am a good leader and role model for students on campus. I am also very involved in school and student activities,” she says. Natalie is also a New Student Orientation Leader and Programming Assistance Leader (P.A.L.).

Alison, co-captain of the PUC Cheerleaders, enjoys coaching 7th and 8th grade Cheerleaders at Eggers Middle School in Hammond and working out. She believes her bubbly, outgoing, and athletic personality would be a great contribution to the PC Royal Court. She comments, “I believe I can succeed academically, athletically, and socially if picked for PUC’s Royal Court!”

Helping animals, cheerleading, and hanging out with her friends, are all things Brittney lists as her hobbies and activities. She, happily, has been a member of the PUC Cheering Squad for two years. This student employee of the University Village says she enjoys working there because it allows her to interact with different people. She understands that true friends are hard to come by, and enjoys going shopping, watching First 48 on A&E. Family is really important to her – she especially enjoys spending time with her nephew and older sister. “I am a very kind and open-hearted person. I help those who are heading in the wrong direction get on the right path. I have a goal that I want to reach and if I continue to do what I am doing I know I will accomplish it,” she comments.

Ashley enjoys the arts and theater. In fact, she hopes to be in the Spring Musical, “Snoopy!”, directed by Corya Channing. She says she should be PUC Royalty because, “I feel that Purdue Calumet is a great school. I transferred here in the fall semester and have significantly improved my GPA, made lifelong friends, and loved every minute of my time on campus. I feel that I can represent the University and the students well because many students can relate to my experience here at PUC.” A little known fact is that Ashley enjoys watching professional sports and runway modeling!
