Meeting with your advisor at least once during the semester is a good way to develop a good working relationship with him or her. If you are a freshman then you will probably meet with your advisor more often, in order to create a schedule and get adjusted to college life. Most advisors will see students on a walk-in basis, but during certain times of the semester (usually during priority registration) their schedules can become rather hectic. Do not hesitate to speak with your advisor when needed because they are there to help students. It is best to take the following steps when planning to see your advisor:
- Find out who your advisor is
- Obtain their contact information
- Find out their office hours
