Online Course Access (Blackboard Vista)

How do I login to Blackboard Vista?
To access Vista, you will need your username and password. Your username is your last name, first initial, followed by a number, typically 1; however this number could be different if someone has the same last name and initial as you. Your username is printed on your class schedule. It can also be found in PC STAR and going to Blackboard Vista/PC Login. You can also obtain your username from a consultant at the front desk in the Main Computer Lab located in Powers 115.
Your password is initially set to your eight digit numeric birth date.

The table below represents two examples of usernames and passwords. The examples will refer to the following individuals. Nick Blake, born on July 15, 1983; and John Taylor, born on December 15, 1979.

Once you know your username and password, you can follow the steps below to access Blackboard Vista

1. Access Vista through Purdue University Calumet’s home page: http://www.calumet.purdue.edu.
2. Click on the link for eCourses, located at the bottom of the page.
3. Click on Blackboard Vista Login.
4. Type in your username and password in the appropriate fields. (e.g., balken1 and 071583).

1. Click on OK.
2. A Warning-Security Window will appear. Click on Yes or Always.
3. Repeat step 6 two more times to complete the login process.
4. Click on the course you want to view under Course List.
