| How do I Login to Computers on Campus?
The Novell (network) Login, shown below, allows you to login to the PUC Campus Network. Logging into the campus network gives you access to network printers and network drives.Your personal network drive, H:, is where you can and should store your data, as this drive is backed up nightly by CTIS (Computer, Technology and Information Services). You must also login to Novell in order to be able to use the Internet, campus e-mail account (NetMail), and other network applications.
Your username is your last name, first initial, followed by a number, typically 1; however this number could be different if someone has the same last name and initial as you. Your username is printed on your class schedule. It can also be found in PC STAR and going to Blackboard Vista/PC Login. You can also obtain your username from a consultant at the front desk in the Main Computer Lab located in Powers 115. You will need this username to
To login to the computers on campus, you will type in your username, a period, the first letter of your last name, another period, then the word “students.” Your password is initially set to your eight digit numeric birth date. The table below represents two examples of usernames, network logins, and passwords. The examples will refer to the following individuals. Nick Blake, born on July 15, 1983; and John Taylor, born on December 15, 1979.
Note: If you change you password in NetMail, your network login password will also change to the same password. |
