Hosted by Purdue University Calumet, the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center looks to impact the region’s businesses through workshops, one-on-one consulting and special events.

The NWI SBDC is a resource for both existing businesses and entrepreneurs looking to launch a business. The staff offers advice to help businesses grow and to help start-ups take off from the ground level.

The NWI SBDC staff offers the following events and workshops.

• “Want to Start a Business?” is an ongoing workshop that focuses on how to write a business plan. This is a fit for new business owners who need this important business tool.
• Kinetic is a networking event that brings professionals together while offering a platform for professional development. Each event has a different host and topic, which provides an opportunity for a new experience each time.
• One-on-one advice is available with our business advisors. This free service is available to our clients to help guide them in the right direction to success.
