Transfer Requirements

Students wishing to complete the 7 th and 8 th semesters of coursework toward the Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing must meet the following admission and entrance requirements. Applicants have the option of selecting a January, May or August start date. Students who elect the January start date will break during the summer and resume studies in August.

Admission Requirements:

  • Completion of a minimum of ninety-one (91) credit hours for semesters one (1) through six (6) at IUON.
  • Completion of IUON HCS 350 Healthcare Technology.
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0/4.0 for coursework completed in the BSN plan of study.
  • Provide official transcripts from all previous colleges.
  • ERI scores to be forwarded with school records.

Entrance Requirements:

Physical exam form completed within the last three years.

  1. Current immunization records and titres.
  2. Pertussis booster (Tdap).
  3. Current certification in American Heart Association or American Red Cross Health Provider CPR for Adult and Child.
  4. Complete a criminal background check through PUC vendor.

All students are required to complete a state board review course prior to receiving the certificate of completion.

Note: Students need to be aware that practicum hours are clinical laboratory hours and are calculated with the formula of 3 contact hours per week, for every practicum hour.

At the completion of this program students will receive a BS degree in Nursing and be eligible to take the National Council Licensing Examination to become a Registered Nurse.
