Class of 688 to be honored at Commencement Exercises, Sunday (5/17)

A spring class of 688 graduation candidates plus graduates from last fall and spring will be honored during Purdue University Calumet’s 58th Commencement Exercises at 1:30 p.m., Sunday (5/17) at the Radisson Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville.

Mature beyond his years, Michigan City 14-year-old is engineering his way to degree

Merrillville student combines (running a) business & study

“Being busy is not work; it’s fun,” Bryan Lazorik says.

Like many Purdue University Calumet students, Lazorik has worn many hats. In addition to pursuing a double major in human resources and marketing, the 32-year-old Merrillville resident works at running a business, Bryco Services, Inc., a Merrillville-based janitorial services company.
