PUC Art Director receives graphic award

An office logo designed by Purdue University Calumet Art Director Kaylie Hall has been recognized by a national news magazine for creative professionals.

Creative Services LogoHall received Graphic Design USA’s American Inhouse Design Award for the graphic mark she created representing Purdue Calumet’s Creative Services Office, a unit within the Office of University Relations.
The logo she designed depicts a large, filled circle or dot containing the text, “Creative Services inspired by the dot. It is displayed here…

The dot, according to Hall, symbolizes “the finishing touch” to creatively designed expressions and representations.

“I am thrilled that our in-house logo won this award,” Hall said. “It’s nice to have competitions that include in-house design departments. More often than not, it is the big name Chicago agencies and local area design studios that win creative awards. Being a part of an in-house design department at Purdue University Calumet indicates to the campus community that award winning designs and talented people are at their disposal and right in their backyard.”

Hall of Griffith has served Purdue Calumet since 1996 as a graphic designer. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the International Academy of Merchandising & Design in Chicago and a Master of Arts in Communication at Purdue Calumet.
