Business lunch & learn workshops focus on effective sales techniques

Sales techniques for increasing revenue are the focus of a three-part series of Lunch & Learn business workshops, hosted by the Hammond INnovation Center, April 1, May 6 and June 3.

Sales coach, business consultant, author and business owner Leanne Hoagland-Smith will facilitate the workshops, which begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Hammond INnovation Center’s 5209 Hohman Ave. facility. Hoagland-Smith wrote the book, “Unlocking Sales Results: The Keys to Becoming the Red Sales Jacket in a Sea of Gray Suits.” The founder of Advanced Systems, an international human capital talent development firm, she will present the following topics:

  • April 1: “Sales Results Are No Joke” – an interactive presentation examining simple strategies for increasing lackluster sales;
  • May 6: “Growing Sales for a Summer Bounty” – marketing and sales skills for nurturing previously planted sales seeds;
  • June 3: “Warm Up Those Cold Calls” – an interactive presentation of strategies for making cold calling more productive.

The per workshop registration fee is $30 or $75 for all three; the fees include a box lunch. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Credit cards are accepted. Individuals can register or obtain additional information by phoning 219/750-1200 or emailing innovate@calumet.purdue.edu.

The Hammond INnovation Center, a small business incubator affiliated with Purdue University Calumet and the City of Hammond, and Advanced Systems are sponsoring the workshops.
