Tickets remain available for Friday’s (9/14) 7 p.m. performance by Chicago’s legendary comedy theatre, The Second City, at Purdue University Calumet.
The two-hour performance, featuring political satire, workplace humor and some of the top sketches, songs and improvisations from Second City’s 48-year history, will be held in Alumni Hall on the third floor of the Student Union & Library.
Two 45-minute routines are scheduled. General public tickets are on sale for $20 at Purdue Calumet’s Business Office for Student Services, located in the Fitness & Recreation Center. The office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any remaining tickets will go on sale at the door.
Proceeds will benefit the Purdue Alumni Association-Calumet (PAAC) Scholarship Fund.
The Second City has become the premier training ground for some of the biggest names in the comedy world, including: Alan Arkin, Joan Rivers, Robert Klein, Peter Boyle, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, George Wendt, Martin Short, John Candy, Bonnie Hunt, Tim Meadows, Chris Farley, Mike Myers and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
