Professor Flannery is currently the Head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Purdue University Calumet. From 1982 to 1998, he was the Coordinator of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. Professor Flannery started his career by receiving his Class A Commissary School recognition in the U.S. Navy after which he earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Schenectady Community College and a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Professional Studies from Cornell University.
Professor Flannery’s areas of teaching specialization are resort management, food and beverage management, and financial analysis and controls. His primary research area is distressed hotel properties. Professor Flannery is a past recipient of the Purdue Outstanding Teacher Award.
