Please arrive at the E-Center by 6:30 p.m.

Project team members and focus group moderators will greet you and be available for questions you may have.

Please make arrangements for child care beforehand since the presence of non-participants in the focus group rooms will hinder the research activity taking place there and E-Center facilities are ill-suited for unattended children. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide baby-sitting services during the focus groups. However, there are playrooms and waiting areas where those accompanying you may comfortably and safely wait. A security guard will be present throughout the evening.

Please do not bring visitors to the E-Center with you.

During the half-hour period before the actual start of the focus group, you will be told of the nature of the study and then be asked to sign an informed consent form. This form is a protection for you and an assurance of the integrity of the focus group study. No one will be allowed to participate in the focus group activity without previously having signed the informed consent form.

Light refreshments will be available before and during the focus group activity.

The focus groups will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and last ninety minutes. If you are having someone pick you up afterwards, we ask you to please have that individual arrive just before 8:30 p.m.

At the conclusion of the focus group, the moderator of each group will distribute a cash compensation of $20 to each participant.

Since project team members and focus group moderators will still have significant work to complete afterwards, we would ask participants to exit the E-Center in a timely manner at the conclusion of the evening’s activities.
