CAMEO: Caregivers for the Elderly: Managing, Expressing, Overcoming

CAMEO is an educational support group whose purpose it is to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere where caregivers can share their feelings and get information they need. CAMEO is unique because it is not disease-specific. Anyone who is caring for an elderly loved one, or wants to prepare to care for someone in the future may attend.  We cover topics ranging from financial and legal issues to how caregivers can best care for themselves. We meet at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Purdue University Calumet 169th Street Building.  The 169th Street Building is located at 1247 E. 169th St. in Hammond IN. The 169th Street Bldg. is on the north side of the street, between Southeastern Ave. and Columbia Ave.

Legal Information, November 3rd.  CAMEO is pleased to present a guest speaker for the November group, Ms. Meghann LaBadie, Attorney at Law.  She will be presenting legal information for Caregivers, including information on Advanced Directives, Medicaid, and Medicare.  Please join us with your questions!

Holiday Self Care, December 1st. In order to help anyone else, you first have to take care of yourself.  It is easy to say but challenging to do!  Please join our December meeting as we focus on pampering YOU as we enter this colorful holiday season.
