Male faculty and female staff members gathered yesterday evening at the Entrepreneurial Center (E-Center) as the first set of 14 scheduled focus groups got underway. The first phase of a climate assessment study conducted by PUC’s Institute for Social and Policy Research (ISPR), investigators heard firsthand how these members of the PUC community perceive the campus academic and work environment.
Over the next three weeks in October, other targeted groups from the PUC community will have the opportunity to contribute to an understanding of the university setting. The ultimate goal of the campus climate assessment is the creation of a portrait of PUC from which actionable measures can be developed for the continued improvement of campus life.
If you are a faculty or staff member wishing to voice your opinion on your experiences at PUC, contact the project team at campusclimate@calumet.purdue.edu or 219-989-3144/3145. For further information, click on a “focus group” link on the right side of this page.
