2008-2009 Housing ContractSPECIAL NOTES:
A new housing contract begins every August.
If you complete a summer ONLY housing contract and wish to be considered on a first-come, first serve basis for housing for the upcoming Fall semester, you MUST submit the subsequent year’s housing contract for the appropriate contract term. For example, if a resident submits a summer ONLY contract for Summer 2008, the resident must submit a housing contract for 2008-2009 in order to be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis for Fall 2008.
Immunization Form
All Students (new and returning) desiring to live on campus will need to have this Immunization Form completed and then submit it directly to the Student Health Services Center in Gyte Room 34. Please read the directions carefully. Download this form in Adobe .pdf format -

The Housing Application and Contract Process
Please submit your fully completed application with a $20.00 non-refundable application fee. The acceptance of this application does not ensure a room assignment.
Once the Department of Housing and Residential Education receives the completed application and $20.00 fee, you will be sent a housing contract packet. Upon completion and with submission of the housing contract, you will need to send a $200.00 refundable housing deposit to The Department of Housing and Residential Education at Purdue University Calumet. You will also need to have a completed immunization form on file with the Student Health Services Center before a housing assignment is considered.
The housing deposit is refundable until the housing contract is signed by the resident and director. The housing contract will then be held on file by the Department of Housing and Residential Education. Submitting a completed housing contract and a $200.00 housing deposit does not guarantee a room assignment. Room assignments are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The prospective resident’s file must be complete with the following on file in order to be considered for a room assignment: a completed housing application, a $20.00 non-refundable application fee, a completed housing contract, and a $200.00 refundable housing deposit. A completed immunization form must also be on file at the Student Health Services Center.
A room assignment is secured when the Housing and Residential Education Business Manager confirms that the appropriate payments or payment arrangements are in place to pay housing costs and the Assistant Director is able to identify an open space. A room assignment is reserved only upon execution of the housing contract by all parties. Housing costs are subject to change.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: If you choose to wire the application fee of $20.00 and the housing deposit of $200.00, please be mindful that the wire transfer fee may be taken out of the $220.00 unless additional money is paid. We advise that you check with your banking institution about fees in relation to the wire transfers so that you ensure the housing application fee and housing deposit are received in full.
