Oct. 29: Working class women in modern China

Shattered Identity and Marketing Femininity: The Changing Experiences of Women during China’s Economic Modernization

Yi Sun, a professor of history at the University of San Diego, will present her research on the effects of economic modernization on China’s working class women.

The talk will take place Thursday, Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m. in YJean Chambers Hall (Student Library Building, Room 353). 

It is sponsored by the Center for Global Studies, the Department of History and Political Science, the Women’s Studies Program and Office of Research and Professional Development.
