Jobs in Business Economics
Bachelor of Science Degree in Management with a major in Business Economics prepares you for a career in any number of occupations – in business, banking, the non-profit sector, journalism, international relations, education and government.
Besides providing excellent preparation for many entry-level positions as administrative or management trainees, the skills that economics graduates bring to the labor market will help them find jobs as financial managers, actuaries, securities and financial service sales workers, credit analysts, loan officers and budget officers.
Economics majors can also find jobs as financial planners, stockbrokers, urban planners and investment bankers. Economics careers in government include those with the Federal Reserve System, the Department of Commerce, and State and local administration, Graduates interested in world issues can find jobs with the Word Bank, the International Monetary Fund and United Nations agencies. An Economics degree is also excellent preparation for graduate study in such areas as law, business, economics, government, public administration, environmental studies, health-care administration, labor relations, urban planning or international relations.
