Facilities Services Mission Statement:
The Department of Facilities Services, as a support service organization for Purdue University Calumet, is dedicated to performance excellence. We provide well maintained, friendly and inviting facilities in the areas of Building Services, Grounds, Maintenance, Systems & Utilities as defined by our customers and stakeholders. Our service goal is to foster an exemplary learning environment.
Facility Services Strategies:
- Use of multimedia technology to increase accessibility of the service request system and enhance communication flow campus-wide.
- Increase marketing efforts of FS.
- Become the best cost provider by concentrating on core functions, vertical de-integration, and outsourcing.
- Maintain consistency of service through training and standardization of procedures.
- Reallocation of resources to ensure continuity of services and provide alternatives as a result of flat-lined S&E budget allocations.

Facilities Services supports these goals by maintaining and providing an environment that supports, encourages, and is conducive to learning, teaching, and research. We provide this environment though our high level of maintenance relative to cleanliness, comfort, system operations, facility appearance, grounds maintenance, and fulfilling facility requests on a consistent basis and in a fiscally responsible manner.
