Who We Are
Audio/Visual Services, a division of CTIS, is responsible for the installation and maintenance of classroom and broadcast technology equipment on campus.
We provide the Purdue University Calumet community with an array of audio visual support systems for academic and college-related non-academic purposes. With our trained staff to assist you, classroom technology support, Video Network Channels, special event support, and a variety of production services are available for you.
Audio Visual service is available Monday thru Thursday from 7:30AM until 10:00 PM, Fridays from 7:30AM until 4:30PM, and on Saturdays 8:00AM until 2:00PM. A/V can be reached for specific questions or issues at Ext. 2935. To request AV service or technical support, please log a service request by contacting the Customer Service Center at Ext. 2888.
Services Available
The services offered by the Audio-Visual department are numerous and varied. In addition to providing and maintaining commonly used items for classrooms and meeting areas, they also provide the following equipment and services:
- Audio teleconferencing equipment and setup
- Two-way videoconferencing equipment and setup
- Live Satellite feeds for classrooms and meetings
- Flexible channel programming for classrooms and meetings
- Campus television network support
- Video recording and conversion
- Creation of digital media and conversion from analog to digital media is available
- Mobile multimedia cart setups
- Special Event equipment setup/support
- Classroom presentation system support
- Equipment check-out for faculty/staff
- Miscellaneous media equipment/support
