Last week, PUC’s student organization, the Society for Women Engineers, kicked off the fall on-campus recruiting season by bringing Hewlett Packard to campus. 75 students attended the information session and more than twenty students interviewed for positions. If you missed out, don’t worry, HP plans to return in the spring to conduct more interviews. The 2007-2008 Career Success Guide is hot off the press and ready for students in 349. The Career Success Guide serves as a hands-on guide to take students through the job search and recruitment process and is fully integrated into Purdue University Calumet’s career development and planning program. Students at other universities rank guides such as this as their most useful resource for career planning, job placement and on-campus interviews.Articles on dining etiquette, CareerTrax registration, social networking, the value of company benefits, and a plan for success are just a few of the new additions to this year’s guide.

Looking for a quick and easy way to learn more about yourself at the core? Career Services with the support of Educational Opportunity Programs and the Counseling Center have implemented a new online program that can do just that through personality and learning style testing. (more…)
