Aquinas College hot at home leading to 95-64 win against Peregrines

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The home team hit nearly 55 percent of its shots in the first half leading to a 46-31 advantage at halftime. The Saints (6-3) duplicated their offensive effort in the second half en route to the 95-64 win Wednesday night.
The Peregrines (2-8) struggled from the floor all night hitting 30 percent from the field and were slightly better from the 3-point stripe at 31 percent.
Sophomore Chrissy “Lobo” Lobodinski (Merrillville), who leads the Peregrines averaging 7.6 rebounds per game, collected her second double-double of the season finishing with a season-high 15 rebounds and tied for a game-high 12 points for the Peregrines.
Freshman Nicci Desimone (Elkhart Memorial) finished with a dozen points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Desimone is averaging 7.4 points per game in the first 10 games of the season.
