University of St. Francis eliminates Lady Peregrines from tournament

JOLIET, Ill. - The University of St. Francis saved its best game against Purdue University Calumet this season for last. The Lady Saints (18-13) shot nearly 50 percent in the second half and cruised to a 77-50 win in the opening round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.For the Lady Peregrines (6-24), it ended the 2006-07 campaign and the collegiate career of senior co-captain Jessica Hamman (Highland) who finished with a season high 20 points, including a 3-pointer, and 14 rebounds. Hamman ranks eighth in the CCAC averaging 7.4 rebounds per game and is averaging 12.6 points per game. (more…)

Lady Peregrines to face U.S.F. in first round of CCAC tournament

HAMMOND, Ind. (February, 25, 2007) - Purdue University Calumet’s women’s basketball team will travel to Joliet, Ill., on Tuesday to face the University of St. Francis Lady Saints in the opening round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tourney. (more…)

Lady Peregrines drop final home game; postseason begins Tuesday

REC CENTER - The Lady Peregrines closed out the regular season and said goodbye to the home faithful for the 2006-07 campaign. The University of St. Francis beat the Lady Peregrines, 69-47, in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.Both teams could be facing each other Tuesday in the first round of the CCAC tournament. I.I.T knocks off Lady Peregrines, gain first CCAC Victory of season

CHICAGO - On senior night, a pair of Illinois Institute of Technology seniors, Stephanie Herrera and Polina Ivanova, took charge in the closing two minutes scoring six of their team’s final nine points and beat the Lady Peregrines, 60-56, in the senior duo’s final home game of the season. The victory assured the Scarlet Hawks of not being shutout in the win column of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. (more…)

Olivet Nazarene scores 42 three-pointers, Lady Peregrines fall, 103-74

REC CENTER - Olivet Nazarene University leads the nation in team scoring averaging 100 points per game, nearly 15 more than the second place team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. And the Lady Peregrines couldn’t hold the Lady Tigers below their average in Saturday’s Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. (more…)
