Wheeler, Polak heat up in the second half, lead Peregrines to win

REC CENTER - Early in the second half, the Peregrine offense was flat and allowed Judson College creep back into the game knotting the score at 47 following an 11-0 run with 13:29 to play. But an 18-5 run late in the final nine minutes lead to a 76-61 win for the home team. (more…)

Driving Ford hits a buzzer beater, Peregrines earn a last second win

REC CENTER - Point guard Marcus Ford (Wirt) has two speeds; fast and faster. With 4.9 seconds to play, Ford slipped past his defender at the exact moment that teammate Steve Polak (Clark) flipped a pass to the speeding point guard. Ford pulled up for a 12-footer that hit the square on the backboard perfectly and the ball dropped through the net as the buzzer sounded ending the game for a 76-75 thriller. (more…)

Indiana University Southeast knocks off Peregrines, 86-69

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Steve Polak (Clark) scored his season high 18 points, including four 3-point baskets, and Minuyard Wheeler (Wirt) managed 15 points and a season high 10 rebounds for the Peregrines (3-4) last Saturday in southern Indiana. But it wasn’t enough to earn a come-from-behind win as IU Southeast won 86-69 in the nonconference game. (more…)

Indiana Wesleyan’s three-point barrage drops Peregrines to .500

REC CENTER – It rained and wouldn’t stop raining three-pointers for Indiana Wesleyan University in the first and second halves of Saturday’s game. Five Wildcats accounted for 13 successful three-pointers, and as a team they hit 68 percent from beyond the arc cruising to an 83-46 win. Indiana Wesleyan is undefeated in its first five games. Peregrines ring up two road wins in La Quinta Inn Suites Classic

DEERFIELD, Ill. - Four Peregrines scored in double digits leading to an 80-73 win against Iowa Wesleyan College at Trinity International University in the two-day tournament. On the first night of the tournament, Purdue University Calumet (3-2) beat Trinity 74-54 to sweep the weekend action. (more…)
